If you've never played like the Dragon/Yakuza game, Yakuza 0 is the first and best starting point in the series schedule.
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut Contains all the action and drama from the original 2015 game, as well as new scenes and a brand new English dubbing created specifically for this release. Most importantly, you can also participate in online collaboration struggles through Red Light Raid mode, combining with players from all over the world to defeat the dirty underworld in the game's notorious area.
One thing to note about Yakuza 0 and another SEGA Switch 2 game is that it is a game key card. Essentially, this means you still need to download Yakuza 0 to switch 2 and the cartridge will act as an authentication device. The game key card is not hooked to your Nintendo account, so if you want to sell the game after you finish it, it will work fine on other Switch 2 Consoles. An internet connection is only required when the game key card is launched for the first time, and the game can then be accessed in offline mode on the Switch 2.
If you have never played Yakuza 0, you have missed one of the best games published by SEGA. Set during Japan's financial boom in 1988, the game is the origin story of long-time Yakuza characters Kazuma Kyru and Goro Majima, revealing how they became legends of the Dragon known as Dojima and Shimano's Mad Dog. At the heart of Yakuza 0 is 3D Beat-'-Up, with a very important point in storytelling, and the main beats in the game are like the plot of the Gangland drama series.
In addition to the excellent mainline event, Yakuza 0 also contains engaging optional content including accompanying stories and mini-games. About one-third of the storyline, you'll unlock Real Estate Royale, a character that places Kiryu (you) in the need to beat the five billionaire group. Goro also has its own unlockable hustle and bustle, managing the Sunshine Song and Dance Club. Like the investment side story, it mixes Yakuza’s Beat'em-Up gameplay with the ability to manage SIM. Both modes are surprisingly deep, either working well as an indie game.
