Xbox outage affects the release of “The Outer Worlds 2” Game Pass

The internet is experiencing another major outage due to issues with Microsoft Azure. The company confirmed that its cloud computing service began experiencing issues earlier today, impacting multiple Microsoft services and the Xbox network around the world.
This also led to problems with going online The Outer World 2Developer Obsidian Entertainment admitted that Xbox users “may temporarily be unable to purchase or install” the game on PC or console. Xbox Game Pass is also affected, and Obsidian said it's working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.

“Beginning around 16:00 UTC, we began experiencing Azure Front Door (AFD) issues that resulted in some services being unavailable,” Microsoft said on its status page. “We suspect that an inadvertent configuration change is the triggering event for this issue.”
Microsoft said it is taking multiple actions, including blocking all changes to the AFD service and rolling back the AFD configuration to the last known good state. “When we roll back, we want to ensure that the configuration in question does not restart after recovery,” the company explained.
Microsoft is currently investigating the outage but has not determined when the issue will be resolved. Last week, many gaming services were also affected AWS is down And it affected several major services on the web, including popular games like Fortnite and Roblox.
For Microsoft's part, multiple businesses were also affected as users reported that major websites were unable to load. It's also bad timing for Microsoft, as the company is set to report its earnings results later today.
