Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is on sale at its lowest price this year

The four rear picks are located where your fingers might naturally rest. Some players use all four at once, while others connect just one on each side. Since they are removable, the choice is yours.

The racquet is the main attraction for many players, but the Elite Series 2 also features customizable rockers and directional pads. It comes with six replaceable stick caps for higher quality metal analog sticks. You can adjust the tension of both sticks using the included tool. It's worth noting that these are not Hall-effect sticks, so just like the Xbox Wireless Controller, stick drift is possible. I've never had any problems with my Elite Series 2, but it can happen.

Elite Series 2 features a unique circular 8-way directional pad designed for quick movement. It might take some getting used to, but you can swap it out for a traditional 4-way d-pad. In addition to the replaceable components, the Elite Series 2 also features switches on the back that lock the triggers (RT and LT) to three different stops.

You can create three different control profiles using the Xbox Accessories app. Control layouts are saved to the controller and can be cycled dynamically. In addition to remapping the paddles and other controls, you can also adjust stick sensitivity, vibration intensity, and more.

Unlike the Xbox Wireless Controller, the Elite Series 2 has a rechargeable battery with up to 40 hours of runtime. You can charge via USB-C or by placing it on a magnetic charging base. The USB-C braided cable is approximately 9 feet long and can be stored in the carrying case's mesh compartment.

The Elite Series 2 was released in 2019, but it's still the best premium controller for Xbox and PC. I've tested dozens of these controllers for all major platforms, and I've yet to find one that matches the Elite Series 2 in terms of ergonomics and overall feel. It's one of those rare controllers where the difference is immediately noticeable thanks to the excellent weight distribution, textured grip, and sturdier casing.
