The first descendant Developer Nexon Games has announced one of the upcoming champions, Woochi The Wayfarer, based on the classic Korean novel Joe Wochy's Story. The news comes with the trailer for the trailer, which may give fans of the Wizards some deja vu.
The video does not have an English language audio option, but the closed subtitles do provide a spoken English translation. The woman's name is Myoan, she is a shaman who uses snakes to perform violent sacrifice rituals. Woochi is the one who faces Myoan at the Dark Shrine, and she becomes a monster in front of his eyes. Woochi is not without defense, his sword's performance is impressive. But Myoan declared “it” before announcing “to heaven, we rise again.”
The game was an effort in North Korea’s Joseph’s era, and Jeon Woochi is said to be a “man who uses his own power to fight injustice and deceiving corruption.” This is a single player game built by developer Lorevault Studio. The announcement noted that the development team is currently consulting experts in Korean literature and traditional music, while also discussing where it will be used to recreate the settings during the game. The game's music will be written by Jung Jae-il, whose previous honors include Squid Game and Parasite.
Nexon Games hasn't set a release date for Woochi The Wayfarer yet, but it will be available on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
