Witcher 3 received another patch later in 2025, bringing support for cross-platform MOD to the game and offering MOD on consoles for the first time.
CD Projekt announced the patch as part of the celebration of Witcher 3's 10th anniversary. It will introduce cross-platform MOD support for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S later this year. CD Projekt said: “This is the first time that it's created, shared and enjoyed mods 3: Wild hunting will be easier and easier to obtain than ever before.”
Cross-platform mod support will be released in game updates later this year. You need to have a mod.io account and connect it to your CD Projekt Red account to access Cross-Platform Mod support. The existing modification service is still available, which means players do not need to use mod.io to upload and download the Wizard 3's mod. However, to access the mod on the console, mod.io is required.
It is worth noting that while the Xbox series X and S and PS5 players can enjoy the myriad mods available through cross-platform mod support, mods must be created with mod creators like Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Redkit on PC.
This is a wonderful update to this 10-year-old game that is still very popular and remains healthy for players even after a decade of launch.
Wizard 3: Wild Hunting An incredible 60 million copies sold now. The 60 million numbers include sales for the base game and Goty version, but not for the expansion for the separate sales. It almost surpasses the latest sales figures we have for Bethesda's Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. exist Interview with IGN in June 2023Todd Howard, director of Bethesda Development, said Skyline sold more than 60 million copies. So, we now have the potential to have the best-selling role-playing game of all time.
Here is CD Projekt Co-CEO Adam Badowski, Witcher 3 Sales Milestone:
There is no doubt that the third part of Geralt's adventure marks a key point in our history. The game has won hundreds of awards and cemented our studio’s position, but more importantly, it brings countless adventures and emotions to millions of games around the world. I'm proud to announce that since its release, The Witcher 3 has sold over 60 million copies, winning the best-selling video game in all history and inspiring us to continue working a lot of work on the next trilogy in that universe.
That means Wizard 4currently in full production. Of the 730 developers at CD Projekt, 422 are working on a sequel, which won’t appear until 2027 at the earliest.
