Earlier this year, we received it Confirm the new look of Donkey Kong Not only for Super Mario Bros. movies. this Donkey redesign stay hereaccording to the character's appearance in the Mario Kart world, Donkey Banana, etc. Love it or hate it, that's your business, but now Miyamoto Shigeru finally tells us why the Great Ape made a makeover first.
Miyamoto talks with IGN at the unveiling of the new Epic Universe Theme Park in Orlando, Florida, which expands the new Donkey Kong Country to the United States for the first time. In the interview we can read in full here, we asked Miyamoto about the new design and how it felt to see Donkey Kong “grow up” with Miyamoto's career at Nintendo.
Here is his answer completely:
“So, when it comes to character creation and working with characters, I still play an active role. Looking back at the first donkey country, we worked with Rare to create Donkey Kong Country.
“When we talked about trying to create new versions of the, evolving donkey, we created a game called “Jungle Beat.” We worked with the team that made 3D Mario. With the technology available at the time, we were able to be more expressive. Make Donkey Kong more expressive. And it can be traced back to rare designs and then relate them to new designs, and then we can make some expressions? Hole design.”
More expressive, is it? Nintendo seems to be nailed. Fans pointed out on social media that the new Donkey Kong is relatively similar to the old media, but does not fully capture his appearance and expressiveness, appearance and expressiveness of his old design. It seems that we may see more kong redesigns accompanying him in the future, because Diddy Kong has undergone a very light redesign (He has teeth now???).
