Walmart Exclusively Launches Black Phone 2 4K Steelbook Edition, and It Looks Incredible

Black Phone 2 opens in theaters this weekend (October 17), but if you already know you want to add it to your physical media collection, Walmart is open Pre-order the exclusive Steelbook Edition 4K Blu-ray Disc It seems Very Cool. The steel book box features Ethan Hawke's character “The Predator” on the front and a phone booth on the back. The front and back covers feature a muddy gray color palette, likely related to the nightmare experienced by one of the protagonists.
The limited-edition Steelbook Black Phone 2 is now available for pre-order at Walmart for $44.25. this Standard Edition 4K Blu-ray Pre-order price is $32.75, 1080p Blu-ray version It's $30. Universal Pictures also released 4K Blu-ray “Black Phone” 2 Movie Collection. Currently, the $52.75 double feature is about $10 cheaper than buying the sequel and the first movie separately.

“Black Phone” will be released in theaters in 2021, but the 4K Blu-ray version will not be available until 2023. Black Phone is currently available on 4K Blu-ray for $31, so the 2-movie series offers a solid value. It's worth noting that the two-movie collection only comes with 4K Blu-ray discs and digital copies of each film.

If you need to revisit Black Phone before heading to theaters to see the sequel, Amazon and Walmart The standard Blu-ray and DVD combo pack is only $10. you will also notice V/H/S 85 in the list below. That's because the Tremors anthology film included an in-universe short called “Dreamkill.” Scott Derrickson, director of the two Black Phone films, directs “Dreamkill.” Derrickson co-wrote both films and “Dreamkill” with his writing partner C. Robert Cargill.
Black Phone 2 is set four years after the original film and stars Mason Thames as Finnish Black again, Madeleine McGraw as Gwen Black, and Ethan Hawke as the Predator. In the sequel, Gwen Blake has disturbing nightmares that include a ringing phone. The supernatural horror film earned fairly positive reviews from critics. For reference, the original has an 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the sequel currently has a 74% rating. Both films are produced by Blumhouse Productions and Crooked Highway and distributed by Universal Pictures.

The Black Phone series is based on short stories by award-winning horror writer and horror creator Joe Hill. Lucky Company. “Black Telephone” is one of the best stories in Hill's 2005 debut collection, “Ghosts of the 20th Century.” If you haven't read the original story and the rest of the collection, I highly recommend you do so. Even if you've already read it, there's a new one Ghosts of the 20th Century: 20th Anniversary Edition Honestly, it would look great next to the Black Phone 2's limited edition Steelbook.

Ghosts of the 20th Century: 20th Anniversary Edition The cover is a muddy blue and magenta, with creepy crawlies speckling the edges of the pages. This 336-page collection includes 15 stories, a new afterword by Joe Hill, and an introduction by Christopher Golden. The 20th Anniversary Edition was released in August for just $15 (originally $20).
It is worth mentioning that William Morrow also released a matching version of Black Phone 2 called The story of the black phone September. It's the same book, just with the Black Phone 2 movie poster as the cover and a different title. You can get the accompanying version of the movie for $19, but honestly, the 20th Anniversary Edition paperback is much cooler and $4 cheaper.
