Marseille MCLASSIC Graphic Uploader For sale of retro and modern gaming consoles, it costs $75 per person Amazon Prime Day 2025. The $25 price cut is by far the best Original as well as MCLASSIC switch and McCra Retro. The MCLASSIC SWITCH version is tailored around switches and other widescreen platforms such as Steam Deck, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. Meanwhile, McLassic Retro Edition is designed for gamers looking to improve the visual experience of older games that showcased 4:3 aspect ratios when playing on modern HD and 4K TVS.
The original McLassic Graphics Upscaler offers a hybrid experience that can be used for visual improvements in modern and retro gaming. The new iteration has the same core enhancement mode, while adding two new visual modes for a particular gaming era. Let's take a closer look at all three options below.
MCLASSIC Graphic Uploader – $75 ($100)
- Original – Nintendo switches, steam decks and retro platforms
- Switch version – Nintendo switches, steam decks, other 16:9 platforms
- Retro version – Retro games with 4:3 aspect ratio (N64, PS2, Gamecube, SNES, etc.)
$75 ($100)
The original McLassic Graphics Upscaler offers a combination of two recently released Pro versions. It has features and modes designed for games that are created with a 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen) and technology that enhances the performance quality and performance of retro games for 4:3 aspect ratio TVs.
MCLASSIC offers a noticeable visual upgrade – although the degree to which you notice the difference depends on how discernible the graphics are. Switch games can be up to 1440p at 60fps. It has built-in anti-acoustic technology that smooths the jagged edges and sharpens pictures. In our experience, the exact improvement in visual fidelity varies according to the game.
On consoles with HDMI, such as switches, PS3, and Xbox 360 (except the first-generation 360 console), all you need to do is plug it into the console, connect the included power cable, and reconnect it from the TV to McLassic Dongle's HDMI cable.
MCLASSIC can greatly improve the overall image quality and playability of HD ERA-Nintendo, N64, GameCube, and more on modern flat-screen 4K and HD TVs. CRT TVs are obviously still the best choice for retro gaming, but McLassic is a great choice for those who don't want to deal with most box TVs or general discoveries.
There is a switch on the dongle that flips between modern and retro modes. The third “mode” on the original MCLASSIC simply shuts down the device's graphics processor.
- Enhanced: Improves visual effects/performance on widescreen platforms, including Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck.
- Retro mode: Lets you play retro games with a 4:3 aspect ratio on modern monitors. The image quality of the games originally designed for CRT TVs is significantly improved.
notes: Game console without HDMI ports – like the aforementioned retro Nintendo consoles – reconnect to the adapter McLassic, e.g. This $30 model or This one costs $19 (a $5 coupon is available)..
$75 ($100)
notes: Nintendo Switch 2 won't offer any benefits.
The McLassic Switch version focuses only on modern gaming platforms with widescreen aspect ratios (16:9). When it comes to modern HD consoles, Marseille has been converting the McCarat style to switches, which is why Nintendo’s consoles are based on the name of the new model. However, the McLassic Switch Edition can be used with Steam Deck, PS3, Xbox 360, and other devices with widescreen aspect ratios that lack 1440p and/or 4K resolution.
Again, the performance of the switch varies with the game, but the McLassic Switch Edition is able to upgrade 1440p to 1440p at 60fps.
You can switch between three different visual modes on the McLassic Switch version:
- Enhanced: This mode provides the same benefits as the “enhanced” mode in the original McLassic.
- Switch plus: Recreate the switch handheld mode while playing on the TV. If you think Switch games look better in handheld mode, and you are not alone in thinking that this mode may prefer this mode to the original enhancement mode.
- Switch Enhanced Mode: This mode is designed to provide some of the key benefits of OLED TVs, namely contrast and clarity when displaying dark colors.

The new McLassic Retro Edition features three different modes for consoles released before the HD era. If you are buying McLassic to play on SNES, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, or any other console that works for 4:3 aspect ratio, Retro Edition is worth choosing.
It has three modes to switch between:
- Retro mode: Show the game in the original 4:3 aspect ratio and display at high resolution.
- Retro mode: Copy CRT TV pictures and audio in an aspect ratio of 4:3. This mode does not change the color, lighting or sound as it suits authenticity.
- Retro Enhanced Mode: A mix of retro and retro modes, as it balances authenticity with improved visual fidelity.
notes: Game consoles without HDMI ports (such as the above retro Nintendo consoles) – Reconnect McLassic Original or McLassic retro to connect to the adapter, e.g. This $30 model or This one costs $19 (with a coupon of $5).
Marseille recommends locking the Nintendo switch to 720p (resolution for handheld mode) when docking for the best results. Based on our tests, we agree with the advice, but don't forget to play 1080p without the MCLASSIC Original or McLassic Switch.
If you are worried about the increase in latency of HDMI cables through the dongle, we never noticed anything. Marseille claims the device has increased by an average of 0.2 milliseconds in this regard, but you may need to be a deck note. McLassic also has lossless audio passes.
Remember, you also need to play on your TV or support 1440p or 4K resolution monitors to take advantage of McLassic's capabilities. However, if you play games on a 1080p panel, McLassic can still improve picture quality.
