Ubisoft promises the Prince of Persia again: “The Sand Products of Time” is on the way

Ubisoft first announced that it is reshaping its beloved action adventure game. The Prince of Persia: The Sand of TimeBack in September 2020, but five years later, the game hasn't even got a release date. This week, Ubisoft assured fans that development is still in progress – but there are few details about the current status of the game.

In a tweet posted from the Prince of Persia’s account, the company shared that “behind the scenes development continues” and thanked fans for sticking with our “persistence with us” throughout the lasting process. Ubisoft also offers a (certainly beautiful) piece of art from the remake surface that you can see in the embed below.

Ubisoft shared in a recent earnings call that it plans to perform a remake before the end of the current fiscal year; this means the game will be released on March 31, 2026. This is a refinement of the previously announced 2026 version window, which itself follows Reports on multiple development dilemmas.

While fans still have to wait a lot of time for the remake, this isn't the only Persian prince title. Persian rogue princeIt is a Roguelike with cel shadows and cartoon style that is currently entering early on Steam; its 1.0 version is released in August. Excellent Persian Prince: The Lost Crown May Not Get a Sequel anytime soon, because Ubisoft disbanded developers last fall.
