The Hobbit’s Deluxe Special Edition has many unique features that are not found in the standard edition published by William Morrow in 2023. Divided into three volumes, this collection of high-end hardcover series forms illustrations by fan favorite artist Alan Lee. It is worth noting that the 2024 box set features over 50 brand new pencil sketches and full color paintings. You will also get three art cards and two folded maps drawn by Christopher Tolkien.
Like the Tolkien Illustrated Deluxe version, these books are a quarter of the leather and cloth. The cloth slide and lid have silver foil symbols and text.
