The Witcher 3 almost left out this important romantic subplot

Anyone who has played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can choose between the two loves of Geralt of Rivia: Yennefer of Vengerberg or Triss Merigold. If there is no possibility of a romantic relationship with Triss in The Witcher 3, then the opportunity to continue this romantic thread is missed.
