Digital characters that occupy the world just like you do in real life The Sims 4 There are needs that must be met or they won’t be happy and bad things may happen. What might be real Not good, like dying. Fortunately, meeting your Sims’ needs isn’t the most complicated thing – our digital characters aren’t as complicated as real people. Still, a little bit of knowledge comes a long way, and as we break down how we need to work and how best to solve it, you will find more below, whether it’s events you attend through your SIM or a permanent lifetime reward that makes you ignore them altogether. Let's dive.

The Sims 4 Need List
hunger
- Solution: Eat food
- Related allowances: Almost not hungry, always full
If your Sim doesn't eat food, they will be hungry. If they continue to eat no food until the hunger scale is completely exhausted, they will soon die of hunger, or, if they are children, they will be taken away by child protection services and adopted by other families. Since this bet is high, Hunger is the only SIM you have to deal with every time, as this is the only baseline requirement that guarantees killing SIM, if not addressed. So don't forget to let your simulated stutter eat.
Having two bonus privileges will make hungry dealings easier. Almost never hunger (4,000 reward points) will significantly reduce the rate at which your hunger scale is exhausted, while the eternal full score (10,000 reward points) will get it so that your hunger gauges are no longer exhausted naturally.
vitality
- Solution: Sleep, drink caffeine
- Related allowances: Very rarely sleepy, never tired
One of the most annoying aspects of human life is the consistent need for sleep, and your Sims are no different from you in this regard. The Sims need rest, and if they get tired, all the tasks they try will get worse, slower than usual, with an increased risk of injury in some tasks such as rock climbing and building robots. The best way to replenish your energy meter is to sleep. You can also drink coffee to burst out energy, but this is just a temporary solution – your character needs to sleep eventually. There are two other ways to rest for vampires: sleeping in a coffin and meditating in dark colors.
Fortunately, the bet on this demand is pretty low – if your SIM card's energy bars are running out all the time, they will only stand out on the floor, which can be great in addition to temporary negative emotions. But there yes A big danger: if a simulator runs out and passes out while swimming, they will drown.
There are two unlockable suction rewards related to energy. Rarely drowsy (4,000 points) will drain your SIM's energy meter much slower, while never tired (10,000 points) will completely eliminate your SIM's sleep needs. Similarly, a completely upgraded vampire does not need to fall asleep besides replenishing vampire energy.
bladder
- Solution: Use the toilet
- Related allowances: Steel bladder
After the SIM card, the waste in the food must go somewhere, hoping that somewhere is a toilet – because using the toilet will completely replenish the bladder meter. The only real risk of this need is your SIM card pooping on their pants, which makes them dirty, smelly and awkward.
Steel bladder suction reward (2,000 points) will cause your bladder meter to run slower. Almost hungry, always full of benefits also help meet bladder needs, because that demand will be reduced only when your Sim consumes food – if they never eat, they never have to use the bathroom. Alternatively, you can solve this from different directions with shameless rewards (2000 points), which will make your SIM not mind talking to yourself.
health
- Solution: Take a shower and brush your teeth
- Related allowances: Preservative, always fresh
As your SIM card is in their own business, they will gradually become dirty and stinky, and the process will be faster if they do pants like exercise or do woohoo or poop. Bathing will immediately take care of this need completely, and the SIM card can also brush teeth or wash hands to make a small improvement in its hygiene model. If you have a laundry day stuff pack and keep the washing machine at your Sim's home, they also need to do laundry, just like their body, which will get dirty.
Two aspiration bonus allowances can be used to alleviate hygiene needs. Preservatives (3,000 points) will slow down your sanitary table, while the ever-fresh (8,000) will stop you from bathing forever.
pleasure
- Solution: Do what your sims like
- Related allowances: Worry-free
Just like you, your Sims need to do something to entertain themselves or they will lose their minds – or more specifically, they will become very nervous and ridiculous. But the solution is very simple: your SIM card has to do what they like. These options are unlimited because they can play video games, play with pets or kids, play competitive games such as sports or chess, and hobby activities like fishing, swimming and exercise, which can meet entertainment needs as long as your SIM card actually likes to do so. If you're not sure what they like, you can view or select SIM's preferences in Create-A-Sim.
However, you don't even need to figure this out, because if you let your SIM do it autonomously, they almost always handle it themselves. Looking for interesting things seems to be the main operating mode of autonomous Sims.
If you don't want to have any fun, the worry-free suction reward (2,000 points) will stop your SIM from getting more and more nervous, thus negating the effect of the low-fun meter.

Social
- Solution: Talk to other Sims or toilets
- Related allowances: Independent, no need
The Sims are like us, very social creatures, and spending time with others is a crucial part of their lives. If your Sim's social meter runs out too far, they will become sad and depressed until they talk to someone. It's actually the most obvious solution, actually going outside and interacting directly with other Sims, or inviting Sims to hang out, but doesn't actually require face-to-face interactions – chatting with others on computers or social media will also improve your social meter. If you want to get real For this, your sim is introverted, and your SIM can get a call toilet in build mode and become friends with it, thus eliminating any need to deal with others.
Independent lifetime rewards (2,000 points) will drain your social needs much slower, and no one (5,000 points) completely eliminates this need.
Vampire vulnerability
- Solution: Carry an umbrella and drink plasma from the Sims, fruit or plasma packaging
- Related allowances: The desire to tame, sun protection
Vampires have two unique needs, the ordinary Sims don’t: they need to drink plasma from other Sims (which replaces hunger), they don’t need to stand in direct sunlight or suffer and eventually die. The sun is easy to handle – just carry an umbrella and your vampire SIM card will use it when you go out during the day.
Plasma is more complex because it doesn't technically harm other Sims' drinking, even if they don't hurt them, and if you're thirsty, your SIM will temporarily wild and randomly attack another Sim. If you don't mind reputational blows, drink, but if you want your SIM to stay in good shape with people, there are two alternatives and a benign source of plasma: Buy plasma packaging on your computer and pick plasma fruits from the plasma tree. Plasma trees grow wildly in forgotten hollows, and you can use the plaster fruit to grow your own plasma tree.
The privileges of the vampire skill tree can permanently handle both vulnerabilities, although they will take some time to unlock. The desire to tame is a maximum level of vampire trick that will reach it, so your sim will never react badly to thirst. Sun-resistant is a four-layer skill with three layers to make your SIM card a day walker.
Mermaid Hydration
- Solution: Drink water, take a bath, swim
- Related allowances: Forever fresh
Even in human form, mermaids need to remain moist due to the need for hydration, which replaces this particular form of existence. However, because it uses a hygiene meter, your mermaid sims won't die from dryness, so they will become very nervous and annoyed to use their mermaid-specific abilities. But this is easy to solve: In addition to sitting in a hot tub, mermaids can also increase hydration through water-related activities. So taking a bath, swimming or drinking water will do it.
The everlasting fresh privilege of permanently addressing your hygienic needs will also have the same effect on the mermaid’s hydration needs.
