The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Switch 2 upgrades are huge – it's very good for Legend Za

The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 is about to be released, and with it, the free Switch 2 has been updated with over 10 existing games from the original Switch library. One of the pairs is Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, which have been widely criticized for their relatively poor performance on the switch. I have to play the newly updated Pokémon Scarlet on Nintendo Switch 2 for 30 minutes and then switch 2 upgrade is Incredible Clear.
this Nintendo official website Say the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet's free switch 2 updates include:
- “Visual effects: Optimized for Nintendo Switch 2 displays and high-resolution TVs to improve image quality.”
- “Frame Rate: Improved smoother motion on Nintendo Switch 2.”
The vague description certainly disappointed me in the beginning, but now I know the Nintendo Switch 2 is running in 4K at 60fps. Or, at least these are the settings – I don't have a device to measure whether 60fps is indeed stable, but from the naked eye I can still make it significantly better. When I joined the game, on a huge 4K TV, I was shocked by everything that looked. There are no jagged pixel edges here, here, even on Pokémon's blades.
The Switch 2 update also increases the number of Pokémon that may appear on the screen and increases distance. For example, the flight over Casseroya Lake on Switch 2 is a very different experience compared to the switch: I see many Pokémon swimming along the ground from a distance, and once I start swimming, I don't feel any obvious stutter. Even though it started to rain, Pokémon Scarlet on Switch 2 still didn't struggle. In fact, it continues to play like a normal person, as if the weather effects are for…work.
The improvement in frame speed is especially noticeable when watching distant moving objects (such as the Windmill in the West Province (Zone 1) – the center or distant Pokémon and people. I also didn’t experience stagnation or glitches during Raid or Terminal shrinks. However, I didn’t play online or collaborate, so we haven’t seen if the update improves these aspects (needed to be needed).
The visuals are subjective, so I can only say so much about emphasizing that the difference is certainly significant, but you can watch the comparison video on this page. I can also report some favorable load time comparisons that will allow you to judge for yourself.
These approximate comparisons are run on Pokémon Violet V2 switch (In particular, Monster Hunter Rise Special Edition) in 1080p, and in 4K with the Pokémon Scarlet running on the brand new Nintendo Switch 2.
Load from the title screen:
- change: 19 seconds
- Switch 2: 5 seconds
Quick trip to Lake Catheroa from Northern Province (Zone I):
- change: 9 seconds
- Switch 2: 4 seconds
Quick trips from Blueberry Academy to Pardia:
- change: 17 seconds
- Switch 2: 5 seconds
In addition to the improvements in fast travel loading time, the menu is also so More picky. The models in the menu load almost immediately, contrasting with the painful seconds of the original switching you have to try on the clothes on the menu; or the hairstyle or accessories in the store.

Honestly, the performance of these games doesn't stop me from enjoying them for the first time. I'm still grateful for the new open world format, more fulfilling characters, and new Pokémon friends who have never seen before, lag. Of course I'm very depressed Long Of course, overall, Pokémon scarlet and violet were fun for me. But now that I played it on the Switch 2, the original performance and visual issues are certainly less overlooked, and thankfully, I never need to play it on the original switch again.
To sum up, Rebecca Valentine IGN's original Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Review Say: “Let's talk about Tang Fen here: These games run like garbage.”

I'm happy to say that's not the case on Switch 2. Of course, they are still not perfect-I did experience it one Stuttering while sprinting along Koraidon, there are still texture issues and texture pop-ups – but the visuals and performance are far from junk. Actually, they're much better, I'd love to say that the free switch 2 update is closer Light Remake is more than just optimization – even if it does should run better. I was impressed, but to be fair, I Have done it Meet some lower expectations – can a simple update make a game play so many problems in 1080p on the original switch?
The way scarlet runs on the Switch 2 makes me question whether this iteration of Pokémon was planned. Updated has done a lot of things, Free? Suspicious.
Apart from conspiracy theories, if scarlet and violet perform on the original switch makes you unable to play, it is definitely worth giving them another shot on the Switch 2. I'll definitely go back and play more of the full Indigo Disk DLC. These games are right at home in the Switch 2 home, and it feels like they should always be here, which gives me hope for the performance of the Switch 2 version of Pokémon Legends: ZA later this year.
These are my first impressions of the hands-on game in just thirty minutes Significantly Compared to the thirty minutes of the original switch, I spent thirty minutes of comparing the lens on the thirty minutes on the switch 2. Once the free update is released on June 5, you can see the difference between the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Switch versions yourself. Release with the launch of Switch 2. Just connect Switch 2 to the Internet and perform a system update to download the free update.
We will also start mini-comment updates to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Switch 2, so be aware of a longer evaluation in the near future!
