In 2012, Lollipop Chain Saw Introduces Juliet Starling, a zombie hunting cheerleader who uses chainsaws and other elevated weapons to destroy the so-called Walking Dead. In addition to modern remakes, Lollipop Chainsaw RepopThis was released in 2024, and the franchise didn't happen much. Now, Lollipop Chainsaw is expected to make a comeback and has a “new project” thanks to a deal between Dragami Games and Nada Holdings.
The two companies jointly announced that they plan to “co-start multiple new projects” based on Lollipop Chainsaw. Neither Dragami nor Nada provide any details about what these projects might need, but new games or potential movie adaptations can be explored.
Shohei Sato, president and CEO of Dragami Games, thanked Lollipop Chainsaw fans for their support and praised Nada for giving the company a chance to revisit the franchise.
“NADA Holdings' team has a deep affection and passion for the champion, as well as a long track record in IP investment and development,” Sato said. “Through this partnership, we look forward to co-creating new projects that have a primitive spirit and charm while bringing new value to the franchise.”
James Gunn – The Story of James Gunn – DC Studios' co-CEO and director of the recently released Superman Restart – co-co-wort the Lollipop Chainsaw, co-directed by Goichi Suda Aka Aka Suda51. However, Gunn and Suda51 are neither involved in 2024 Remaster. If another game moves forward, it is not clear whether Gunn or Suda51 is willing or able to contribute to it.
