The first trailer for Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 is released just in time for Halloween

Since the launch of its first chapter in October 2021, Poppy Playtime has become one of gaming's premier indie horror titles, with its lovable yet creepy mascot Huggy Wuggy achieving Freddy Fazbear-level notoriety. Today, just in time for Halloween, Mob Entertainment has a treat: the first trailer for Poppy Playtime Chapter 5, the final chapter in the Poppy Playtime saga, is here.

The 45-second trailer shows off some of the places players will travel through in the latest chapter, including laboratories, medical facilities and an area that resembles a school hallway. We do see a brief shadow of a giant spider-like creature in one shot, while other shots feature colorful slime clinging to the floors and walls.

A brief message flashes on the screen before the final shot (showing Poppy's playtime cardboard stand on fire and surrounded by slime) transitions to the number five. The message content is as follows:

“The needle pulls on the thread. The body rolled on the table. 'Is this it? Is this life? Footsteps echoed across the floors of the manor. 'What do I do now? Where do I belong? Eyes glued to the screen. Do you think you know what he wants? You know nothing. not yet.“

This new chapter picks up on the cliffhanger ending of Chapter 4, where the player character is trapped in an office that leads to a secret underground laboratory, with the door they just entered locked behind them. As they turn to look out the window, Huggy Wuggy – thought to have been killed in the first chapter – appears and roars, and the screen fades to black.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 will launch on consoles and PC in 2026. PC players on both platforms steam and epic games store Games can be wishlisted on the platform of their choice.
