The era of Nintendo Switch 2 game trading has begun

With Amazon carrying Nintendo games again, it seems like the treasure trove of transactions in Woot's Switch games will disappear. After all, Amazon-owned discount stores have expanded significantly throughout 2024. Meanwhile, Amazon itself hasn't had any Nintendo games for most of 2024. In 2025, this has been the case until late June, a few weeks after the Switch 2 was launched. But Amazon's sale of these Switch 2 games for full price (or $1 below) doesn't seem to affect Woot's ability to offer such deals — at least not yet.

In fact, the trio in Woot's Switch 2 game deal might suggest that the offer will be more noteworthy. All three of Woot's Switch 2 games are North American versions of ESRB ratings. None of the store pages have a disclaimer regarding no-region imports. This is interesting because Woot added a disclaimer to switch the game page last year. Sometimes, Woot sells imported versions from other regions. These games can always be played in English, while the Nintendo Switch console can be played from any area. The Switch 2 is the same – it is not zone locked, so you can import the game from Japan and it works fine.

Currently, the game deals for Woot's original switches still include a disclaimer, but many store pages were created before Amazon began selling American versions of Nintendo Games, accessories and hardware. Soon after, Woot's original Switch game may always be our version.
