“Crow's Crossroads” is a new independent prequel novel in “The Legend of the Witcher”. It took place decades before the game and the main novel legend Teenge Geralt from Rivia, Kaer Morhen, and worked as a wizard in his early steps.
According to Amazon's description, the prequel finds that Geralt “stumbles on a world that neither understands nor welcomes him.” A new beginning from Kaer Morhen, the rash attempt to heroism almost ended with his execution, but he was saved at the last minute by Preston Holt, “a wizard of grizzly bear, buried the past and his own agenda.”
Under Holt's guidance, Geralt began to learn what it really means to go on the road, not only to fight monsters, but also to survive the prejudice and politics of the continent. Sapkowski describes it as a story of “how legends were made, and the money they cost.”
