Just as every three months when quarterly sales reports are released, Nintendo offers new sales numbers for the best-selling switch game of all time. There are almost no surprises on the list.
At the top of the chart is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which sold an astonishing 68.86 million copies as of June 30, 2025. The number includes copies sold in hardware bundles, but it's an impressive number. For comparison, Red Dead Redemption II and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunting each sold 50 million copies.
The rest of the top five best-selling switch games include Animal Crossing: New Horizons (48.19 million copies), Super Smash Brother Ultimate (36.55 million copies), The Legend of Zelda: Breathing in the Wild (33.04 million copies), and Super Mario Odyssey (2.95 billion copies).
