Like previous games in the series, there's a hardcore mode for the ultimate challenge. Just like Doom Eternal, you get access to the full game, with all the same upgrades, spells, classes, you name it. However, if you're surrounded by enemies and beaten, or a boss monster hits you with a devastating attack, that's it: your save will be permanently deleted.
