There are many speculations about the cost Big Theft Automatic 6with some companies Hopefully it will debut for $100 Open the door and drop at that price at more. The current game price cap seems to be $80, but Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive, seems not very enthusiastic about raising the price of the GTA 6.
“I think our approach may be a little different,” Zelnick replied when asked on a Take-Two investor call on August 7 that the GTA 6 is priced at $80. “We think that any consumer experience is the intersection of things themselves and what you pay for things. So our goal is to exceed expectations greatly. We want to showcase the best entertainment on earth, and we want to offer more value than we charge for them. We think we are speaking correctly in general.”
“Variable pricing has always been the essence of the industry,” Zelnick added. “You know, most first-tier versions will be issued at higher prices, sometimes with special versions, and then over time, the price will usually be discounted to optimize the largest possible market. And, I don’t think that will change anytime soon… the vulnerability that informs us is actually offering more value than we charge.”
Earlier this week, Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics made a similar argument Starting GTA 6 for $100 is a bad idea. Elliot suggests that GTA Online is the real money tree for the series, and Rockstar can’t risk alienating players who have been in the game for more than a decade. He also noted that higher prices raise the risk of players sticking to GTA 5 in their highly anticipated sequel.
