surprise! Nintendo just released Animal Crossing: New Horizons'The first update in nearly three years.

This is not a particularly exciting update – Patch Description Just tell us the May 27 update “improves compatibility between multiplayer games Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch” – but it marks the first time since November 2022 that Relaxing Sim games have undergone any kind of backend refresh.

“Improved compatibility” means that we're not sure, but ensuring players jump to the animal intersection can be a minor tweak: New Horizons on the Switch 2 can still access their friends' islands without accidents, and vice versa.

Animal Crossover: New Horizons will play on Switch 2, but unlike games like The The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Kirby and the Forgotten Landit does not have its own customization Switch version 2. However, for players who get Switch 2 next week, it should be compatible – unlike these Games with known problems.

Animal Crossing: The new horizon allows you to escape to a deserted island and create your own paradise as you explore, create and customize your own private islands and communities.
