Starfield update arrives with Pro Modding Group's DLC – but waiting for official expansion and PS5 news continues

Starfield There is a new patch and a new achievement-friendly creation that helps fill the official DLC invalidation, but fans are still waiting for Bethesda to announce its next extension and PS5 release date.

At the same time, the patch adds additional support for creation, so up to 2GB of creations can be uploaded, as well as many fixes for tasks, vehicles, UI, and broken Space DLC. But waiting for more meaningful news to continue on Starfield, fans are looking to release an extension announcement and a potential PS5 release date on Microsoft's Xbox Showcase.
Starfield was launched in September 2023 as Bethesda's first new IP in 25 years. But that's not like Studio's previous games in the Elder Scrolls and Consequences franchise, and the Broken Space Expansion released a year later after September 2024 rating Steam's user evaluation rating was “mainly negative.”
Starfield continues to attract 15 million players, but some wonder if Bethesda may leave the game and focus on other franchises.
