Splatoon 3's Free Switch 2 is now live, here's the patch notes

Nintendo has targeted Splatoon 3. On top of visual improvement Switch 2ver. 10.0.0 Patch introduces a lot of new content to the game, as well as some weapon balance tweaks and other game tweaks.

according to Official patch notesSplatoon 3 now looks and runs better when playing on Switch 2. Moving around hub areas such as Splatsville and Grand Festival venues is now smoother and the visuals are more detailed overall. Nintendo said it also “smooth animation” for jellyfish and other characters in the game.

The update also adds a range of new weapons as part of the “Splatlands Collection.” Now, there are 30 weapons in total in Ammunition Knights Store. classic Splatoon 1 The urchin underground passage for the stage was also added, bringing the total number of multiplayer games to 25.

Finally, the update makes a series of balance adjustments to certain and special weapons. In these changes, both the '91 and '92 variants of S-Blast can consume more ink, while the durability of the wave-swagger is improved. Weapon fresh caps have also been added, and a series of weapon power functions are implemented in combat in anarchy.

It's been a big week for Splatoon News. Except for ver. 10.0.0 update, Nintendo announced The new spin-off game is called Splatoon Raiders. The title is simply Switch 2 and plays the role of a mechanic who must venture into a mysterious island chain known as the Spirulina Islands and joins the three members of Deep Cut.

Added features and game content changes

When playing games on Nintendo Switch 2, the following updates have been made:

• Make the screen display in more detail.
• Make the screen more smooth in the following areas.
  • Splatsville
  • Inkopolis
  • Inkopolis Square
  • Big festival
• In the salmon run, even if there are plenty of salmon animations on the stage, the salmon animations are the same.
• Smooth animations for certain characters, such as jellyfish.
• Change the animation displayed in the lower right of the screen when switching scenes.
• When capturing the screen using Photo Mode or the Capture button on the controller, the resolution of the images stored in the Nintendo Switch 2 album is increased.

When playing games on Nintendo Switch, the following updates have been made:

• Make it some element outside the stage, and elements that are not related to the battle will not be displayed when fighting with Splat area/tower control/rain gear/clam blam lightning mode.
  • Compared to the Nintendo Switch 2, this change is to minimize the difference in game operation speed.
  • In reconnaissance mode, all elements will be displayed as so far.

All other changes below apply to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

  Crab Tank	The damage caused by direct shelling ranges from 60.0 to 50.0 is reduced. With this change, the damage caused by direct shell shooting simultaneously is reduced from 90.0 to 80.0.

• Added a series of weapon features to Rank S and higher Anarchy War (Series).
  • In Anarchy Battles (Series) with Ranking S or higher, the Series of Weapon abilities will be measured for each weapon player device. They will match other players, with their series of weapons power similar to those currently equipped.
  • The power of the series weapons in all four modes is the same.
  • Players can display their current weapon power by pressing the ZL button on the device's screen to display the weapon's detailed information.
  • The series weapon power will be reset every time the season changes, but the highest value players will be recorded in Splatnet 3.
• In the battle of anarchy, the change in ranking points per battle increased by about 2.5 times.
• This is done so that the call symbols automatically determined using factors such as gearing will be displayed in X battles instead of nicknames.
  • After the battle, you can view the player's actual nickname and ID (numbers and letters starting with #) on the screen, such as the match menu and the lobby terminal.
  • For X rankings, the player's actual nickname and ID will be displayed.

Change splatnet 3

• The nine best players will now be displayed.
  • “Best Nine” means that nine weapons have the power of the highest series of weapons, all of which all the players have.
• The best nine rankings will now be displayed.
  • The Best Nine Ranking is the total series of weapon abilities that players compete for the Best Nine.
• Notifications from Splatnet 3 will now appear in the Notifications box in the Nintendo Switch app.

Other changes

• Increase the maximum weapon freshness to 10★.
  • Players can obtain new weapon badges by achieving freshness 6★10 to 10★.
  • After the app is updated, weapons that receive XP exceeding the maximum value before the app is updated will increase freshness after a battle, and the number of XPs is proportional to the number of XPs received at this time.
• New badges added can be obtained based on the number of weapons of freshness ★★★★ or higher.
• This is done so that other players who fight other players in Anarchy Battle (Series) and Splatfest Battle (Pro) will not show the system features of the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch 2 console in the users you play.

As a bonus update, in this update we added weapons and a stage, adding maximum freshness, implementing series of weapons features for Anarchy War (Series), adding call symbols functionality in X Battles, and optimizing operations on Nintendo Switch 2.

For Anarchy Battles (Series), we implemented a new series of weapons features targeting player ranking S or higher.

With this feature, the power of a series of weapons will be measured for each weapon currently equipped, and the player will match other weapons with similar power.

We implemented this feature and hope players enjoy fighting with a variety of weapons, including Splatlands Collection -Barazushi/Emberz weapons added in this update.

Furthermore, we balanced the multiplayer battle.

For S-Blast '92 and S-Blast '91, we have adjusted to give players more room to fight them, as from an opponent's point of view, there seems to be no gap at any distance.

For the crab tank, we lowered the maximum damage of the cannon to reduce the frequency of the attacker being defeated without any chance of escaping. We also make other special weapons easier to fight crab tanks.

For toxic mist, we reduce the amount of ink consumed to make it easier to use with the main weapon. On the other hand, we also extend the time before the ink begins to recover, so this change does not lead to a strategy that makes players just keep throwing their subweapons.

The next update will focus on multiplayer balances based on an analysis of changes in the increase in these weapons.
