Some Battlefield 6 players hate this Season 1 skin so much they're threatening not to resurrect anyone who uses it

Some Battlefield 6 Players were outraged after the first reveal of Season 1 revealed soldier skins they deemed inappropriate.
Fans have been waiting for weeks to get their first look at Season 1 and its new maps, modes, and guns. However, after EA and Battlefield Studios finally kicked off the game with a trailer yesterday, the only thing on the community's mind was one question: could this be the beginning of the end?
New Battlefield 6 maps like Blackwell Fields and Eastwood certainly grabbed people's attention, but it was just one skin that completely dominated the conversation. The cosmetic in question is Wicked Grin, a new skin for the Assault class. The various trailers for Battlefield 6 Season 1 released online yesterday gave us a sneak peek at what fans believe will be an array of costumes ranging from plain to flashy.
computer gamer is one of the few sites that shares images of skin that features dark blue highlights from head to toe. Its squad operators also have toothy smiles painted on their hoods. This is enough to set off alarm bells within the Battlefield 6 community, especially considering that the Wicked Grin skin's description teases that it can be “unlocked as a free store gift.” This suggests the Raiders could be flooding the halls with those excellent blues as early as next week, which could bring Fans' fear of silly skin Come into reality. Even if this or any other Season 1 skin is still a far cry from the dozens of celebrity, superhero, and cartoon character crossovers that have appeared in other popular shooters like call of duty and Fortnite, tens of thousands of fans are clearly unhappy with what they're seeing so far.
“Well, shouldn't we have realistic skin for a while?” 1 Popular comments from fans explain. “Is it something that anyone would actually wear during the war? However, as the first season begins, everything seems to be going to be colorful, teams can't be distinguished by uniforms, and the game looks more like paintball or an (ActionSportGames) event.”
“I would not resurrect anyone wearing this skin. My opinion is,” one Reddit user says. “I will miss the days when everyone had default skins and beta skins,” said another Added by Reddit user. “I'm afraid I won't be able to recognize this game anymore.”
EA and BF Studios have never laid down hard and fast rules for what their version of Battlefield 6 will look like. Still, the Season 1 skins were considered a breach of trust after the community was told to expect grounded visuals across the board, at least for a while.
“We’re a gritty, down-to-earth, realistic shooter,” Christian Buhl, technical director at Ripple Effect and BF Studios tell IGN last month. “That's our goal, that's what the game will look like over a period of time.”
Many admit that there's still a lot of work to be done before Battlefield 6 stops being the grounded military shooter it currently is and starts introducing some of the more outrageous characters seen in other games. Of course, there's also the fact that there were plenty of other, more down-to-earth costumes in both the base game and Season 1 of Battlefield 6. As for what we've seen so far from Season 1, though, fans are more nervous now than ever.
“Is this realistic? No,” another Community comments added. “Is it more grounded than Beavis and Butt-Head, Peter Griffin, Sgt. PsPsPs, Wubz, Feelin Sloothy, etc… I would say yes.”
“If you want to use regular, realistic clothing, there are plenty of them,” others say. “If someone wants to wear something with a little color, they can. This is a video game, not a real war.”
