'Silent Hill F' Producer Explains How Fan Art and Memes Keep It Popular

It's been a few months since Silent Hill F was released, and the survival horror game is still going strong thanks to online chat, memes, and an active community. That's according to Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto and writer Ryukishi07, who recently talked about how Silent Hill F continues to be in the spotlight.
“Recently, discussion about gaming is consuming very quickly,” Okamoto said. Online balance (pass Automata), . “But the games that are still talked about even months after release are the ones that are fun to theory and analyze, and they usually get a lot of character fan art. In my experience, games that can show us that kind of hype tend to last longer.”
Ryukishi07 added that games that resonate with players often have more than just their 15 minutes of fame. “That's why the protagonists of such games tend to be less talkative, so that players can immerse themselves in the game,” Ryukishi07 said. He explained that he hopes Silent Hill F will demonstrate the series' flexibility in expressing itself, rather than becoming a template for future games to follow.
New update for Silent Hill f recently launchedand added a new casual difficulty mode to the game. Several other changes have been made to the game, including faster stamina regeneration and fewer enemies in some sections. Silent Hill F was nominated for two awards at this year's Game Awards – Best Narrative and Best Audio Design.Save $20 on Cyber Monday.
