Routine: Introducing the CAT Ultraview Module – First up IGN
Blog Andrew Joseph 04 Nov , 2025 0
What if the 1980s were the starting point for the future? Like this year's Fantastic Four movie is a 50s version of the future? ROUTINE is coming soon, a first-person sci-fi horror game set on a moon base. Like all good horror games, silence and loneliness are your worst enemies, and it's no different in Everyday – except you discover the part where an enemy thinks the main threat is actually you. Piece together the events that occurred before your arrival and try to survive.
ROUTINE is our first “Cover Story” game at IGN for November, launching on PC (Steam and Xbox on PC) and Xbox (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox Cloud) on December 4th – including day one with Xbox Game Pass. The first exclusive video (watch it above) introduces you to the CAT Ultraview module, a tool you'll need to use regularly when exploring your lunar base. It looks like a camera and a radar gun had a baby, and… you'll have to see the video to see what it does.
The development story of ROUTINE is quite rich, having originally been announced over a decade ago. It turned out to be Revealed again 2022, and we finally played for the first time earlier this year. Stay tuned to IGN First throughout November for more exclusive coverage. In the meantime, you can wish list If you're interested, you can check out ROUTINE on Steam.
