Rob Less Agricultural Simulator Planting a garden Having attracted millions of players on PC, mobile and console devices, this is the number implemented by some of the most popular games on any platform – what exactly is that?
If you load Roblox at any time next week, about 20 million people will play in the garden in some capacity. This is according to the official user tracker found in all Roblox experiences, which firmly solidifies colorful free games on popular charts in various categories. These numbers can be seen that the free game game leaves other Roblox projects in its dust, second place is the most popular “play now” experience, Brookhaven RP590,000 players were shown at the time of publication.
Attracting 1.5 million players is an impressive feat, and it is also the low end of the garden planting.
Agricultural Simulator Reaching the peak of 8.8 million active users Last weekend, only the competition experience was annihilated, but multiple active user records started with markers that spanned 5 million active users earlier this month. The 16-year-old boy released a garden on March 25, 2025. It has since been visited 3.4 billion times.
For comparison, Counter-Strike 2 (currently the most popular Steam game) hit an all-time high last month with less than 1.86 million players (by Steamdb). PUBG: Battlegrounds owns the most active player ever on Valve's PC storefront, and even Its peak value The highest in 2018 was 3.25 million players.
Planting Gardens is still lagging behind Fortnite's free game Royale Megaton, the battle is Fortnite with 15.3 million peak active players Activities held in 2020. Planting the garden is not the top of the mountain, but it is climbing – fast. At least another important evidence suggests that the Roblox platform is a platform worth taking seriously as millions continue to pour into the dense forest of content it provides.
What are you doing in the garden?
In the Planting Garden, you – if you can believe – Planting Garden. The current game formulas to set up Roblox Ablaze are almost without complexity. This is not another anime pairing or tower defense experience, but a straightforward farming game where a tutorial will list everything you need to know in just a few seconds.

Each player plugs into the server with a handful of other Roblox users, and each grants his own land drawing to start their garden. While new players have 20 kinds of sheds, garden-planting game currencies, and buying simple seeds for vegetables like carrots, it's almost also clear how far you can take, as other players' fenced areas usually radiate a grand slam over towering trees, bamboo, lively fruits, and more. Growing takes time, but even if players are offline, the garden continues to flourish until it is selected.
Grow carrots and sell it and you will make some profit. Rinse, repeat and earn enough income for the blueberries, then mangoes, then orange tulips, then grapes, then chili, and so on. Satisfaction comes from the tangible growth you see in the garden and in money. It's a distant only cycle, distilled into its purest form, although there's more to do for those who want to dig it out.
Custom gardens can be as simple as organizing a yard together by color, height or type or flavor, with optional cosmetics, tools and pets added. Updates and events keep players coming back more often, and weather modifiers may increase the value of crops. Each game wrinkle is part of the formula, and it has seen the Garden player's basic balloons unheard of in Roblox's blocky world. Not everyone understands it, but success is undeniable.
Who made the garden?
The 16-year-old who first broke ground with a planting garden is still creatively involved in its change, but is no longer the only name. Share the responsibility is Roblox experience management company Dobig Studios and popular developer Janzen Madsen (aka Jandel) and his network of creators Split Point. These were the main players in the space, but before the explosion, it took a garden to Madsen.
“This game was developed by a 16-year-old guy and we saw about 1,000, 2,000 ccus of the game,” Mason told us.
It is here that the current farming experience begins to plant its roots as the 20-person team at the split point begins to help create the foundation for growth. This is not to say that the original anonymous developers are no longer involved.
“In fact, I think they are creative and very incredible,” Madsen said in describing how to share the responsibility for development. “I think they bring a very unique perspective to the game, and I think there may be a generational gap between me and them. Everyone has… I want to say that it's almost equal, and honestly, as far as we call, we call, we plan to update – probably not what you expect. Sometimes we plan to update every week, you know?”
Madsen couldn't determine what triggered the rapid rise of the garden, mainly because “has happened so quickly”, but pointed out that tight update strategies and events are a reliable attraction for Roblox players. Recent examples include the introduction of DJs for entertainment and organizing mass dances in hopes of breaking world records. Each update has the opportunity to create a moment that puts players in trouble while making them feel involved in the journey.

The modest small project eventually exploded into the biggest game in Roblox history. There is a comprehensive operation that keeps it successful to ensure millions of fans continue to show up and developers don't tend to it for free. Although Madsen refuses to share details about garden planting income Roblox previously identified in-game spendingThis experience provides players with several clear ways to spend cash.

Almost all goods of interest can be purchased in Roblox premium currency (called Robux), adding to the garden's main source of income. On a PC, $5 to 500 Robuxseed prices range from 7 to 715 robberies, decorative items such as crates and campfires require 119 and 149 Robux. You can also pack a seed pack and eggs at a time, or as a loot box containing special crops and pets, respectively. Even though the price tag can sometimes reach a higher number than the average number of players in the garden, most of these items can still be purchased using the in-game shed. It's not clear how much money players spend to replace farms, but at least 1.5 million users can play at any time, and we can guess that's probably a lot.
Climbing up the beanworm
Planting gardens is attracting attention, and gardens that roblox has never seen before, but success is far from a foreign concept on the platform. New experiences are flooding every day, although many of them never reach the top of the trend chart Blue Lock: Competitor and Dress up as impressedseveral months after the release, still has hundreds of thousands of engaged players. Roblox is not a new phenomenon in gaming – it has been around for years and has only attracted more attention.
Still, reaching nearly 9 million active users is incredible, so many questioning the legitimacy of the garden’s success. Some have suggested that robots play a role in the popularity of swelling numbers and fabricating, but Roblox says that is not the case.
A Roblox spokesman said: “The global success of the Development Garden is driven by outstanding users, vibrant social interactions (through friend driving games) and strong Robux engagement.” Game files. “Our preliminary analysis confirms the real popularity, not artificial inflation, and thus confirms the real community-driven growth of the game.”
While those outside have aroused Roblox’s appeal to gamers, Madsen said he worked hard to legalize what he called home-based platform he spent most of his time in the space. He believes that Roblox is both overlooked and a hub of creativity.
“The first impression most people have about Roblox is, 'It's a stupid kid platform, a game or game without depth,' I think that makes sense that some of the best game designers in the world are making games in Roblox,” Madsen explained. “Like, 'Yes, they look simple, but they're actually like…they solve difficult problems on the platform. They're working on the boundaries.”
“Look at AAA. You know no one is taking the risk? Every day on Roblox, there is a new concept or a new game – I think it's cool. I think judging from the outside without taking a few weeks to look at it.”
Even if the planting garden has blossomed to the greatest extent, there is no doubt that other Roblox experiences can reach seeds that even exceed its high standards. You can read all active garden codes as we wait for it to grow here.
