Resident Evil Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller Pre-Order Now Open

The first special edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller has been released, and it's a surprise. Nintendo is releasing a limited-edition Pro Controller themed around Resident Evil Requiem, the next mainline entry in Capcom's survival horror series. The Resident Evil Requiem Edition Pro controller is available for Pre-order for $100 at Best Buy and Nintendo Store. It was released with the game on February 27, 2026.

The Resident Evil Requiem Edition of the official Switch 2 Pro controller comes in the same black color as the standard model. The difference is that the front panel features fictional newspaper clippings published by Raccoon City.

You can see the words “Resident Evil” on top of the controller and “Requiem” below. Also included are excerpts from newspaper articles and photos of the dismal situation on the ground. It's a very cool design, albeit a little understated due to the lack of contrasting colors.

Resident Evil Requiem Edition is $10 more expensive than the original Standard Switch 2 Pro ControllerThis is a fairly common price increase for themed first-party controllers.

Switch 2 owners can pre-order two different physical versions of Requiem, both of which are limited edition and cost $90. this Resident Evil Generation Pack Comes with “Requiem”, “Resident Evil Village” Gold Edition and “Resident Evil 7” Gold Edition. this Resident Evil Deluxe Edition Comes with steel bookcase, raster cards and a bunch of digital content. Nintendo will also launch a Switch 2 Amiibo for Requiem protagonist Grace Ashcroft. We don't know what this model looks like or how much it will cost, but Street Fighter 6 Amiibo retails for $40so this seems like a distinct possibility for a Grace Ashcroft Amiibo. Unfortunately, the Amiibo won't be available at launch, with its release date currently vague as summer 2026.
