Click on the Smartphone Game Pokémon TCG Pocket Today, its alternatives have been unveiled, and since then Apologize for “Production Issues”, the game sees the game adds a fan-based card.
Updated card art for Ho-Oh and Lugia immersive variants can now be seen in Pokémon TCG Pocket, replacing the game's eager to switch to the game's temporary artwork as fan complaints boil, and Game developers are forced to call for peace.
Interestingly, the new Ho-Oh and Lugia Artwork are once again credited to artist Sie Nanahara, who also created the former now-improved design.
In an earlier statement, Pokémon TCG Pocket's development team spoke after fans began pursuing the incident and said players should not “attack or slander” the artist. Explaining the situation, the developer said that Nanahara only created the artwork based on the design provided by the studio itself (incorrectly approved). The fresh design of today’s Nanahara shows further support.
“As many players know, the immersive Ho-Oh Ex (three-star) and Lugia Ex (three-star) cards from the expansion wisdom of the ocean and sky are currently featuring placeholders,” the game's developer said in a statement to social media this morning.
“As an update, players can expect new illustrations that these cards will fall off in the game over the next few hours. Thanks to our community for their continued patience and support.”
Last month, fans discovered that Pokémon TCG Pocket's original Ho-Oh Ex card appears to be traced back from a 2021 design created by fan artist Lanjiujiu. The artist even released a comparative image showing their creations lined up with the ocean and sky extensions of Pokémon TC G Pocket's new wisdom, which featured the same pose.
The second card, which includes the legendary Pokémon Lugia of Ho-Oh, was also affected – because its immersive design contains the same artwork of Ho-Oh in the backstage.
This episode raises a broader question about Pokémon’s legal right to use FanArt in its official products – although the quick response here suggests that the company believes it is what it wants to avoid.
Earlier this week, fans suggested Another Pokémon TCG pocket card design has Ultra Beast Buzzwole that also looks similar to informal artworkalthough others have not convinced this instance, this constitutes a stolen.
