Pokémon Legends: ZA global release date confirmed

Are you ready to catch—and Mega Evolve—them again? Pokémon Legends: ZA It's finally almost here, it will be available on October 16th for $59.99 for the Nintendo Switch and $69.99 for the Switch 2.

If you don't have a Switch 2 yet, but think you might upgrade in the future (maybe you're waiting until the holidays to buy a new console?), you can buy the Switch 1 version of Pokémon Legends ZA now, and then purchase the game's $9.99 Switch 2 upgrade pack when you're ready.

Last but not least, you can already buy Pokémon Legends: ZA: Mega Dimensiona paid DLC that will add two new Mega Evolutions and fresh story content to Raichu. Most of these won't be available until the game launches, although buying now will unlock additional costume items immediately.

You can already preload Pokémon Legends: ZA via the Nintendo eShop right now, including the game's day-one update. You'll need 4.1GB of free space on the Nintendo Switch, or 7.7GB of free space on the Switch 2.

On the eve of the game’s release, Be wary of spoilers – Data mining for the game has begun after a physical copy was discovered in the wild. In fact, IGN has seen news of some new Super Pokémon included in the game – although we won't spoil them here.

Set in Kalos, the hometown of Super Pokémon Mechanic, Pokémon Legends: ZA adds the first new super-powered creatures to the series' Super Pokédex in more than a decadealthough no entirely new Pokémon species are expected to appear. So far, The Pokémon Company has only revealed a handful of new Super Pokémon that are expected to make up the game's final roster of fresh Super species. How many people will show up for the final game? You just have to play and find out.
