Pokemon Go October 2025 Events: Raid Bosses, Spotlight Moments, Community Days, and More

Pokémon GoThe Transformation Stories season continues in October, with a variety of different events taking place over the coming weeks. In addition to new Spotlight Moments and Raid Bosses, the game is also hosting some fall-themed events this month, such as the Harvest Festival, which will introduce two new Apulin evolutionary forms.
In addition, there is also the Mega Rayquaza Raid Day worth looking forward to, as well as activities to celebrate the launch of the latest game in the Pokemon series. Pokemon Legends: ZA. Of course, October wouldn't be complete without the annual Halloween event, which this year is split into two parts and adds some new ghosts and costumed Pokémon to catch.

October raid schedule
Pokemon Go is refreshing its team rotation once again this month, introducing a slew of new Legendary and Super Pokemon to challenge.
Various forms of Deoxys and Genesect will return to Five-Star Raids in the coming weeks, while a host of Mega-Evolved Pokémon will make another appearance in Mega Raids. You can also encounter some seasonal Dynamax Pokemon in Max Battles throughout the month, including Gastly and Woobat.

Pokemon Go's weekly Spotlight Moments event continues in October, offering new Pokemon picks and rewards.
Every Tuesday night from 6 to 7 pm local time, a specific type of Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. In addition to this, you can also get additional rewards by participating in events, such as double stardust or experience points when catching Pokémon.

Pokemon Go kicks off October with the Steel Skyline event, which will last until October 7.
As the name suggests, Steel-type and other city-dwelling Pokémon such as Alolan Gopher, Galari Mew, Skarmory, Garbage, and Clink will appear more frequently in the wild throughout the event. You'll also have a chance to encounter Duraludon, the mighty dragon; Steel/Dragon Pokémon will appear in four-star max battles.
In addition to the featured Pokémon, various global challenges will also be active during the event, and when players collectively complete these tasks, different rewards will be unlocked. There will also be free event-themed field and timed research missions, as well as paid timed research tickets that offer additional challenges and rewards.

As part of the Mega Raid Day event, Mega Metagross will make its long-awaited debut in Pokemon Go. October 4.
Mega-evolved Pokemon will appear in gyms as Mega Raid Bosses from 2 to 5 p.m. local time. Every Metagross you face will know the Ghost-type fast-attack Shadow Claw, and if you successfully clear the group, you'll have a better chance of encountering a Shiny Metagross.
Some rewards will also be activated during the event. As always, the number of remote raid passes you can hold will be temporarily increased to 20, allowing you to participate in more battles remotely. Best of all, when you spin the photo disc in the gym, you can earn up to five additional free raid passes.

Pokemon Go is celebrating the arrival of fall with a Harvest Festival event October 10-16.
As part of the celebration, two new Pokémon will debut in the game: Dipplin and Hydrapple. You can also collect a new type of item: Syrup Apples. These may appear on PokeStops equipped with active moss bait modules.
Other Fall Pokémon such as Miltank, Combee, and Smoliv will also appear more frequently during the event, and some rewards will be activated. When you catch Pokemon with Pinap or Silver Pinap berries, you'll get double the candies, and your chances of encountering shiny versions of Pumpkaboo and Smoliv will also increase.

Community Day in October is held at October 12the featured Pokémon this time is Psychic-type Zorosis.
From 2pm to 5pm local time, Solosis will be out in the wild more frequently than usual, which is a good opportunity to catch some Solosis candies and stock up. Due to the increased spawn rate, your chances of encountering Shiny Thorosis will also be higher.
As a featured Pokémon, Thorosis is also able to learn attacks unique to the event. If you are able to evolve a Pokémon into Reuniclus before 9pm local time, the Pokémon will automatically learn the Fairy-type Quick Attack Spell when it evolves.
Rounding out the event are some other in-game rewards. You'll get triple Stardust and double Candy when you catch a Pokemon, while players level 31 and above will be twice as likely to get XL Candy. On top of that, any incense you activate will last three hours, while the Lure Module will last one hour.

Pokémon Legends: ZA Celebration


Pokemon Go is holding a special collaboration event to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Legends: ZA October 16-20.
Super Raids will occur at Gyms more frequently than usual throughout the event, giving you more opportunities to fill out your Pokédex and earn Super Power-ups. On top of that, there will also be free timed research tasks. Completing these missions will net you various rewards, including the chance to catch three starter Pokémon from ZA: Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile. Finally, the Style Shop will add new ZA-style clothing to your avatar.

Mega Rayquaza is hosting a special Mega Raid Day event on October 12, 2019 October 18.
From 2pm to 5pm local time, Mega Rayquaza will appear in the gym as a Mega raid boss. If you're able to successfully complete the raid, your chances of encountering a shiny Rayquaza later increase.
In addition, there will be free timed research tasks to complete during the event. These will reward you with a Meteorite, which is needed to teach Rayquaza to charge up Attack Dragon Ascension.

Halloween 2025 Part One


Pokemon Go is wrapping up the month with its annual Halloween event. As in previous years, the celebration will be divided into two parts, the first of which is October 21-27.
Two new ghost Pokémon will debut during the event: Poltchageist and its evolved form, Sinistcha. Best of all, the shiny Sinistea will appear in Pokemon Go for the first time.
In addition to the new Pokémon, a large number of Ghost and Dark Pokémon (such as Grivard, Zorua, and Sisua Zorua) will appear more frequently in the wild and in raid battles. You'll also have a chance to encounter themed Pokémon when you complete field research missions during the event.

Pokemon Go will wrap up the first part of this year’s Halloween event with Go Battle Weekend October 25-26.
Halloween 2025 Part 2


Pokemon Go 2025 Halloween Celebration Starts Second Stop October 27th – November 2nd.
During this part of the event, various costumed Pokémon will appear in the wild and serve as raid bosses. In addition to costumed Pokémon from previous years, you'll also have a chance to encounter some new ghost Pokémon, such as Teddyusa wearing a witch hat and Neubatt wearing a headband.
In addition, there will be more event-themed field research tasks to be completed. Clear these and you'll earn different rewards, including extra encounters with featured Pokémon and giant powers of Houndoom, Gengar, Sableye, and other monsters.
Some bonuses will also be available. Not only will you increase your chances of encountering shiny costumed Pokémon in raids throughout the event, but you'll also be able to score some extra candy on October 31st. Costume Pokémon you catch on Halloween with a nice throw or better yet will have a chance to get a Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL.
