The enhanced build quality of the double edges is instantly revealed when you grab the controller. It pairs all the cool technology of a standard controller with advanced, interchangeable components and useful input customization options.
PlayStation's Pro-Style Controller includes two styles of removable back paddles, trigger locks with three stop points, three pairs of thumb caps, and two programmable feature buttons for up to 30 custom profiles for bike riding, as well as changing other settings such as audio.
These custom configuration files can be created in the DualSense Edge settings menu on PS5 or in the PlayStation attachments app on your PC. You can restart all buttons, adjust stick and trigger sensitivity, create Deadzones, change the strength and haptic feedback of adaptive triggers, and save all these settings to a custom configuration file. You can then assign these profiles to the feature buttons, which allows you to quickly switch between settings while playing.
DualSense edge wirelessly syncs with PS5, PC, Mac or mobile devices via Bluetooth wirelessly. For competitive players who prefer wired connections, the double fixed edges have a removable lock. For braided USB-C cables, you prevent you from accidentally disconnecting the power cord from the controller port. Like standard dual sense cameras, adaptive trigger feedback and haptics are often used in wired modes on PCs.
The controller and all components are neatly stored in the included hard-shell carrying case. DualSense Edge was previously only available in combination white/black designs, but PlayStation is available Midnight Black Edition In February. Both models are available for $170 in a few days of the 2025 gaming session. The original DualSense Edge comes with an all-white box, while the Midnight Black Edition has a matching all-black box.
