Play one of the best horror games of 2025 for as low as $40

It's been a strong year for survival horror games, with one of the highlights being Cronos: New Dawn, an original horror game from Bloober Team, the studio behind last year's critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake. The sci-fi horror adventure just launched a few weeks ago in September, but thanks to Amazon black friday During the sale, you can purchase Cronos: A New Dawn at a discount of up to 30%. Discounts vary from platform to platform—— PS5 version only costs $40 (Original price $60), while Switch version 2 Discounted to $45 (originally $60). This is the biggest price drop we've ever seen on a physical version, but it's only available for a limited time.

Players take on the role of travelers in a futuristic setting of Eastern Europe that has been radically changed due to a mysterious event. Through time travel, the Traveler travels back to 1980s Poland on behalf of an organization called The Collective to rescue key individuals from an impending disaster. The Travelers possess an array of weapons to stop the mutants, but failure to properly dispose of their remains will result in the surviving enemies merging with the corpses to create stronger, more dangerous creatures.

The Switch 2 version of “Kronos: New Dawn” runs at a basically stable 30 fps. Some concessions were made graphically, but the overall tone and atmosphere were retained. This is the Game Key card version of the game, which requires the Switch 2 to have 25GB of storage space.

Mark Delaney writes in the book: “While it doesn't quite reach the incredible heights of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Kronos has carved out a reputation for itself in the genre as an intense sci-fi horror story that'll serve well enough to satisfy anyone's horror needs as long as they can endure the sometimes brutal enemy encounters.” Game Point Reviewsthe game score is 8/10.
