Final Fantasy VII and VIII Remake Double Pack
All these games are Already available on Switch (and other platforms) in digital form. But this is the first time they're available in physical form in the United States.
Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997, marking the series' first debut on a non-Nintendo platform. It tells the story of former soldier Cloud Strife and a team of freedom fighters fighting against the evil Shinra Corporation. This version of the game features a 3x speed mode, the ability to turn off random encounters, and a “Combat Boost Mode.”
Final Fantasy VIII Remake is an enhanced version of the game that launched on PS1 in 1999. It tells the story of Squall and the other members of SeeD as they fight against Edea, a witch who has caused an uproar around the world. This version of the game features various combat assist options, a 3x speed boost, and the ability to turn off random encounters.
When it was first released in 2000, Final Fantasy IX was something of a throwback to the medieval setting of the first six games in the series. The game tells the story of Zidane and a group of actors who “kidnap” Princess Garnet, who secretly wants to be kidnapped to escape her insane mother, the Queen.
The visuals have been slightly modified to look better on modern monitors. It also comes with other new features, including autosave and seven game boosters, including high-speed and encounter-free modes.
