Path of Exile 2 Players don’t have to wait too long for the next update. The Last Druid arrives on December 12th, and you'll have more than just druid magic at your disposal. Players will soon be able to transform their druid into a wolf, bear, or even a dragon-like wyvern. The trailer below shows off the power each new form has to offer.
The druid's ability to shapeshift is tied to one of three different talismans. As a wolf, players can summon wolves to attack enemies, or tear them to pieces with their own teeth and claws. Bears are the embodiment of raw power, growing in strength with every roar. Becoming a wyvern grants players the power of flight, as well as lightning and fire attacks that can bring any opponent to heel.
Even as humans, druids possess formidable abilities. They can command the elements of earth and storm, bringing thunder and volcanic attacks at their fingertips. There are two paths to advancement for a druid. As shamans, the druid's magic and spells are amplified to astonishing degrees. The Oracle may be the druid's second advantage class, but it gives the player the foresight to predict enemy actions before they happen. Using these future visions in combat sounds very useful.
Some of the other content in the update includes a Dragonmaking Alliance mechanic, 30 new support gems, an expanded passive tree with over 250 passive skills, and a new Pinnacle Boss Atziri. The game will also have a free weekend preview on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC from December 12th to 15th.
Grinding Gear game director Jonathan Rogers recently admitted Path of Exile 2 version 1.0 won't be released in March 2026 According to the original plan. Instead, he expects early access to launch in late 2026.
