NTE Containment Test Begins, Showcasing Updates and Improvements

The RPG NTE, the open world of free gaming, recently launched its encapsulation test, a closed beta that demonstrates the upgrades made by the upgrade developer Hotta Studio since the game's last technical test. All over the board are improved, including better visual effects, new mechanics, racing content, redesigned combat and more.
NTE takes place in Hethereau, a huge metropolis that is actually more like two cities. On the surface, it is a pristine city center filled with people of everyday life. But the underworld keeps distorting the reality of anomalies, and you are an unlicensed anomaly hunter responsible for investigating these weird events and stopping them.
HeThereau itself has been one of the focal points of the game, a city with built-in Unreal Engine 5 that allows seamless travel to span a lot. However, the latest update takes things to another level, thus giving the city a full visual overhaul. There are richer details, updated aesthetics, and improvements to lighting and environmental impacts.
Light and shadows now show greater contrast, which is especially noticeable when you develop in your natural day/night cycle. As you travel across the city, you can also experience dynamic weather conditions – from fog to rain, snowfall, and especially snowfall effects are enhanced. Thanks to physics-based rendering, the snowflakes now look translucent and lifelike.
The character has also undergone a graphical makeover. Now, the materials of their clothes and hair bundles become more detailed, making each character more popular in the anime-style art style.
During the hunting mission, you will form a party of four characters, each with its own skill called Esper abilities. You can control one character at a time, but you can switch between four characters in your party to link their Esper abilities together and form combos that combine together.
In the latest update, the experience is also refined and takes an overall feel of action, skills and combat to improve gameplay. Some new mechanics have also been introduced, such as the Parry attack and the critical Dodge counterattack to add more combat.
No matter which character you have in your party, you can use its Esper abilities both in battle and outside. Some help traverse the city, such as letting you run up the sides of buildings and parkour to move around quickly. But this is not the only way to travel through Hethereau. There are also some zipper lines that can help you find hidden corners of the city, and with the character mint from the Abnormal Control Bureau you can “apply” for the car.
Buying and modifying cars has always been part of NTE. There are a lot of customization options – including colors, tires, bumpers, and engines – you can mix and match what you're not going to be until you ride. There are dozens of different custom cars that you can drive in first or third person.
The latest update to apply for a car is new, and if it is reckless, it can bring some consequences. With the help of Mint, you can command cars throughout the city at any time, which can help you quickly go from task to mission if you don't have an easy car. However, be aware that things may quickly disappear if you damage the vehicle or interfere with public safety. There is a new multi-level wanted system, and the consequences will continue to escalate – police and robots will pursue you and become more active, the higher the level you want. You can see this system in the video below.
But you can end up using a car, which can be used online and work with friends, working with street racing teams in different areas of multiplayer races, another new addition to the latest update. Racing also includes drift, but be careful when it rains or snows – the roads will be slippery and the handling will be worse.
Containment testing is going on from now until July 16, after which Hotta Studio will get feedback from the player in this update and resolve in future updates. The full release of NTE will be available on PC, console, iOS and Android, and cross-play is available for free on all platforms.
