Shfiguarts made some really great action characters. They stand on the expensive side, but thanks to their superior build quality, abundant accessories, interchangeable parts and highly articulated joints, it's usually worth it so you can pose as you want.
The latest batch added to the lineup are some great looking super Mario characters that are available for pre-order now (See you on Amazon). Next year, we have Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser and Play sets. Let's take a look.

This is all Mario's bold, colorful glory. Aside from looking absolutely amazing, this number comes with a base with a red “M” and has a clear stand (so you can pose for a jump). It also has interchangeable hands that can be opened or fisted. When it comes to accessories, you get a question mark, plus gold coins, super mushrooms and other small plastic parts to help you pose for Mario.

The Luigi character is as precise as Mario One. It also comes with an extra set of hands and a stand (although this is green, it has a “L” on it). Luigi comes with bricks and a red shell.

Bowser's figure is a bit more expensive than the plumber brothers, but I guess the thickness of our boys is caused by that. The Koopa King comes with a black base with the Bowser logo, and a clear stand. He has a replacement hand and a replacement jaw that causes him to breathe in the fireball. Very cool.

I'm glad that the Yosh wasn't overlooked on this set (although Peaches and Toads might have something to say about it). Yoshi comes with a green base with an egg on it and a clear stand. There are also alternative hands and eyes, plus a replacement saddle, which actually fixes Mario or Luigi's figure to him.

Finally, there is a drama episode with all the works you need to recreate the game scene. It has two pipes (a long pipe and a short pipe), two green bases, two bricks, two Goombas, two coins, a question mark block and a green shell, and various clear stalls to help create any scene you dream of.
Any of these characters looks great, but if you get more than one number and create a scene with them, the line will really come to life. You can get some pose ideas in the slideshow above, where you can also find all the accessories that come with each graphic.
