Microsoft discounted the DLC for Game Pass games by 10% as part of this week's controversial changes to Xbox Game Pass games, and the games that end subscribers are able to get, seemingly favoring its new rewards program.
The news first emerged when Call of Duty Community found that final subscribers are no longer eligible for 10% of cod points as well as Blackcell. Discounts are considered very valuable for fans who play Call of Duty through the game pass.
Charlieintel first discovered changes in the United States, and IGN verified discounts that are no longer available in the UK. IGN has asked Microsoft to comment.

However, the cancellation of this discount seems to be beyond Call of Duty. Discovered purexboxmost individual DLC packaging for game pass games no longer enjoys 10% off for subscribers (except EA game games still apply 10% of the game).
Discounts not mentioned this week Final subscription price increase announcement. However, Microsoft Have done it Confirm changes in how the final subscriber earns cashback through its reward system and considers these changes to be substituted.
Here's a brief introduction to Microsoft's upgraded Ultimate Rewards plan:
The final subscriber can now earn up to $100 per year (100,000 points worldwide) by playing the game in the store. With our upgraded bonus program, players can earn up to 30% of their value in Featured Game Pass games, purchase 4x points on Games and add-ons, earn 10% points on Featured Game Pass library titles and add-ons, and enjoy up to 20% of their choice Game Pass Games.
Essentially, if you subscribe to the final, you can earn more points from COD point purchases. Obviously, like many retailers, Microsoft's game here is to get your funds spinning around its ecosystem rather than bank accounts. As Redditor Dazzathomas explains: “The change is that when purchasing additional content from the game pass, Premium gets 5% bonus points and ends up with 10%. They want you to spend the full amount and return it to you in the bonus points so you can use that gain on your gift card and keep it in the Xbox ecosystem instead of saving yourself money.”
Microsoft sparks strong opposition to boost the price of Xbox Game Pass ultimate From $19.99 per month to $29.99 per month (an extra $120 per year).
To justify the final price increase, Microsoft raised the number of first-day issuances to 75 each year, and added Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics for the first time. The quality of Xbox Cloud game streaming has also been upgraded.
Ubisoft+ Classics (valued at $7.99/£6.99 per month) is now part of Ultimate. Starting November 18, Fortnite crew members (the monthly fee of $11.99/£9.99 per month on its own) will be included in Ultimate and will be available with the Fortnite Battle Pass and 1,000 V-Bucks.
Cloud gaming improves better performance. The end subscribers “only enjoy our best streaming and shortest waiting times,” Microsoft said. Xbox Cloud Gaming also officially exited Beta, “as part of our commitment to making gameplay smoother and quicker.”
Microsoft said the new $30 per month final price reflects “an expanded catalog, new partner benefits and an upgraded cloud gaming experience.”
Interestingly, the new premium tier (the so-called standard) will add new Xbox release games within a year of release, but that does not include the Call of Duty game. This means that if you want to play Call of Duty through the game pass, you're almost forced to pay for Ultimate. In a year, it's $360. And now, you don't even get 10% COD points or BlackCell.
Fans are running numbers and reevaluating whether the game pass is still suitable for them. Launched in Beta before the November release date, Black Ops 7 is a $70 game (Microsoft fell back at $80 for Obsidian's Outer World 2 after gamers vehemently protested. Perhaps the decision to stick with the $70 $70 paid an extra for both Microsoft and players.
A poll conducted by IGN on this issue (with more than 22,000 voters now) shows that 52% of our listeners won't agree with the game pass at all. 22.5% said they will still get the final despite the price increase.
