Metal Gear Solid Delta's delayed multiplayer game won't be cross-played, and fans aren't going well

Of course, this is not the first time using metal gear to get involved with multiplayer games. Metal Gear Online was tied to Metal Gear Solid 4: Patriot's guns in 2008 and lasted four years until its servers shut down in 2012.

“When we say Metal Gear multiplayer, many fans may think of Metal Gear online, but Fox Hunt will be its own new model,” said Yu Sahara, a veteran metal gear solids developer who now serves as director of Fox Hunt. “We are very grateful to all the long-time fans of MGO who want to see it make a comeback, but the landscape of multiplayer has changed a lot since MGO. Given the appearance of the new online mode, a lot of careful consideration is needed.”

Last week, Konami admitted that Fox Hunt will miss out on the launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta’s main single player: Snake Eater, a section that will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 28. FoxHunt will be launched at some point via the Launch post update.
