Arc System Works, the developer of the Guilty Gear series, is making a 4V4 Marvel Gight Game game called Marvel Tokon: The Soul of Fighting for Sony.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls announced on PS5 and PC at some point in 2026 via Steam and Epic Games stores.
In an article on the PlayStation blog, XDEV, senior producer of PlayStation Studios, Reed Baird, confirmed the iconic Marvel Heroes and villains such as Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Dr. Doom, Doom, Storm, Marvel, Marvel, Star-Lord and Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider Rider Rider (Robbie Reyes), each with their own character designs.
A 4V4 fighting game sounds overwhelming, but the game director and leading combat designer Kazuto Sekine insists that this is not the case.
“Usually, team-fighting games require players to learn multiple characters, but for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, you only need to master one character to play the game,” Sekine said.
“We designed the mechanisms in a way that performs various operations in traditional fighting game input or simple input. With a few buttons pressing, multiple characters can appear on the screen to provide backup or attack – creating new exciting team-and-fighting experiences.”

Visually speaking, Miracle Tokon: Battle Souls has a Japanese-style ARC system work. As for the game mechanics, each character has a set of regular, special and unique attacks inspired by Marvel Lore's abilities and power. Of course, there is also the final skill of the movie.
“The long tradition of team-fighting games is in the 2V2 or 3V3 team format, so that's something we've discussed in depth in the development team,” Sekine added. “We've come a lot, from thinking we might be better at making 1V1 games or sticking to the established 3V3 format.
“Essentially, we think the appeal of a team vs. fighting game is the intensity of a battle, with multiple characters on the screen at the same time. Additionally, one of the appeal of Marvel Comics is seeing a large number of characters coming together to create a variety of unique teams.
“With these two ideas in mind, we concluded that creating a 4V4 team with a system is not only the best way to create those super moments, but also the best way to further develop the combat genre.”
Most stages also have multiple areas, and their transition plays a “strategic role”. Sony recommends fans check out screenshots of Marvel's New York City to see what you can find.
