Major rematch patches add color blindness mode and other major changes

The popular football match has reached 5 million players, and now the game's latest patch has arrived, ushering in new features and changes – and lately, the promised cross-playing feature is still missing.
Developer Slocap in Blog Posts The new rematch patch “contains many changes in all domains that should improve the game in different ways.” As for the promised cross-play functionality and NetCode improvements, Sloclap said those efforts require “the work of its domain experts.”
“We can't put all the resources on these topics to make them happen faster,” Slocap said. However, the studio laughed at it being made “very good progress” and that there will be more news to share.
A new feature to re-competition in the update is a color blind mode that can accommodate people in Deuteranopia, Protanopia or Tritanopia by providing a toggle to the team colors. Additionally, the player screen has been updated for readability. In terms of fixation, the ball indicator should no longer follow the ball incorrectly, and the problem with the social panel screen has been resolved.
There is now a new GamePad zoom feature, which is now described as “basic”, but Sloclap says it hopes to start slowing down here before offering a “more advanced version.” The new rematch update also features an improved target verification system for when to grab the ball. “Before verifying the target, decisions now use delays to check for potential deflections/captures and illustrate network changes,” Sloclap said.

Sloclap also announced that it is creating a test server with the goal of testing future updates in a “separate environment.” Sloclap said it will take more time before it is ready.

Gameboard remapping
- The first version is very basic (it does not allow the creation of combos of inputs), but we chose to allow players to start patching the mappings before they soon provide a more advanced version.
Better hit detection
- Fixed an issue where the ball was deflected rather than being caught by the goalkeeper in some cases: the ball speed was not properly evaluated to decide whether to capture or deflect.
Note: Some designs for adjustments to capture and deflection parameters will also be introduced soon.
- Improved target validation when the ball is captured on the target line: Decisions now use delays to check for potential deflections/captures and calculate network changes before validating the target.
- Other general NetCode improvements and fixes.

- Multiple camera fixes during goal replay, eliminating shaking
- Fix “Barrier” (physical contact between players): “Body barrier” opponents should now be more effective

- Fixed the issue of goalkeeper's collision response to opponents: goalkeepers should now react to other players' bodies like other players (this does not change the invincibility rules for tackles).
- Fixed several issues with physical and visual state inside the menu and started at the kickoff of the game.
- Outfield players' defensive mode deviates from shots now have a larger angle, except for shooting against goalkeepers or sweeps.
- On the mouse and keyboard, the camera controls are a little earlier than before when executing the faucet (more news about M&KB Tap Aiming!)
- Fixed a dome camera lock issue when using the mouse and keyboard, and the camera will send it back to the previous position when shooting.

In the next patch, this feature will be pushed further to apply a filter throughout the screen.

- Added a voice channel parameter selection on the Custom Match Parameters screen to chat with all players in the lobby, which is useful for training with friends from both teams.
