Magic: The Gathering’s Next Big Secret Lair Drop Is Monster Hunter

Magic: The Gathering is getting another big Secret Lair collaboration with a major video game franchise, this time with Monster Hunter.
announced today In a very strange press release, the Monster Hunter Secret Lair Super Drop will be available from December 1st at 9am (PT) to December 22nd at 11:59pm (PT), but while supplies last, and these things tend to sell out quickly.
The collaboration includes four individual products, each priced at $29.99, with the foil version priced at $39.99. All of the cards involved are copies of existing Monster Hunter themed cards, with nothing mechanically unique or new. The press release contains some basic information about each drop, titled “Hunt,” “Hunter,” “Monster,” and “Monster II,” but there are no images of the cards yet.
hunting Focusing on non-creature spells, the theme revolves around “the horrific attacks that monsters from the Monster Hunter series can unleash.” Each color has a spell:
- 1x Blind Obedience: from Marzeno Monster Hunter Rise: Sunrise
- 1x Snapshot: from Kushala Daora monster hunter 2
- 1x Village Ritual: Magnamalo and Tobi-Kadachi from monster hunter rise
- 1x I have Boxte More pembants: Jerimme. monster hunter generation and monster hunter 2
- 1x Teeth and Nails: from Azure Rathalos and Seregios monster hunter 4
hunter As the name suggests, it's about the hunters themselves, with each card depicting a different set of armor and weapons, and featuring a human subtype. As before, each color has a spell:
- 1x Great Destroyer: King Tiger Armor with Bone Scythe from Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter Free 2
- 1x Ancient Mage from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne: Velkhana Armor with Slinger and Winged Angel Greatsword
- 1x Grim Haruspex: Nargacuga Armor with Hidden Eye Light Bowgun from Monster Hunter P2G/MHFU
- 1x Imperial Recruiter: Fire Dragon Armor with Red Tiger Claws; Brachydios Armor with Burning Knocker; Gormaga Armor and Royal Rose from Monster Hunter 4G
- 1x Lambholt Champion: Astalos Armor and Verdant Lightning Shield from Monster Hunter Generations.
monsters and Monster II Also self-explanatory, include the following monsters as legendary creatures. These are two different sets, but the press release doesn't make it clear how the nine creatures will be divided. IGN has reached out to Wizards for comment on this, and for general comment on the confusing nature of this release:

Overall, it's been a busy year for Secret Lair and third-party Magic: The Gathering collaborations. Some Incredible Secret Lair Card Drops Including “Sonic”, “Final Fantasy”, “Deadpool”, “SpongeBob SquarePants”, “The Office”, etc. We are currently eagerly waiting Hot on the heels of Marvel's Spider-Man, Avatar: The Last Airbender Beyond is released. Next year looks to be the sameplans to launch out-of-universe series such as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “The Hobbit”, “Marvel” and “Star Trek”. There are too many cards. Please slow down.
