Live Action Aeon Flux Movie Gets 4K Blu-ray on its 20th Anniversary

Back in the 1990s, Aeon Flux helped MTV build its own hub for more than just music videos. Thanks to its groundbreaking animation and surreal science fiction story, the animation series has become a classic of a cult. The show then saw a live-action film adaptation starring Charlize Theron in 2005. While the movie doesn't exactly match the quality standards set by the animation series, Aeon Flux is still a rock sci-fi movie, and thanks to its upcoming 20th anniversary, it finally matches the 4K Blu-Ray with the new Steel Book Books version. Booking AEON FLUX 20th Anniversary Steel Edition 4K Blu-ray It will be available for $34 before the October 7 release.

AEON FLUX 20th Anniversary Steel This edition covers the art of the original drama poster of the film. Special features are not confirmed yet, but we expect this new 4K Blu-ray version to contain the same bonus content from previous DVD and Blu-ray releases.
Aeon Flux is set in the distant future, happening in a deadly virus that still comes from, which has killed 99% of humans. Centuries since the outbreak, survivors have built the walled city of Bregner, which is managed by the Congress of Scientists led by Trevor Goodchild. A mysterious faction hires telepathic warrior Aeon Flux (Theron) to assassinate GoodChild. But, soon into her mission, Ann finds herself investigating a tangled plot that hides the true nature of Bregner City.
Aeon Flux: The complete animation series
As mentioned above, the live-action Aeon Flux movie pales compared to its animation original material – if you want to check out the original series, you can grab Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Series Collection Director on DVD for $13.51 ($17) on Amazon. In addition to all the plots of the show, this DVD set includes reward material such as series creator Peter Chung, featured dramas, production art and review tracks for several TV shorts.
Several other films over the past few decades are also scheduled to release 4K Blu-ray later this year. This includes the 2000s Slams The devil's refusala comic adaptation from the 1990s mask and spawning, and classic musicals Rocky Horror Picture Show and The sound of music.
