Star Trek Day is over, and of all the announcements released, the official LEGO Star Trek is probably the best. The first trailer for this collaboration is short, but it does showcase the Lego-type miniature of famous Starfleet captain Jean-Luc Picard into the transport room, while his iconic Star Trek is ready: the next generation uniform. The trailer ended up with some Klingon text, which she explained “coming soon” after translation.
This will mark the first partnership between LEGO and Star Trek; however, no details about the upcoming collection have been disclosed. From TNG avatars of the enterprise to Borg Cubes, Klingon Warships and more, there is great potential here. There are multiple eras of Star Trek, and while TNG looks to be a standout, fans may be happy to build suits from the classics, Voyager, Deep Space Nine and Discovery series.
On the other end of the LEGO Sci-Fi Avenue, the company’s official Star Wars suit is still very popular among its fan base. The company has just launched its next ultimate collector series, Star Wars collection: Death Star. This is the largest Star Wars model and the fifth largest Lego building block, as it has over 9,000 pieces that can be used to build a mobile war station large enough to end any rebellion.
It's also an expensive set, and before the official release of the October 4th release (if you're a member of Lego's free Insers Rewards program), the shockingly $1,000.
