Kirby Star Cross-World Review – Forgotten Land Gets Larger, Only a Slightly Better

Kirby and Forgotten Land + Starry Sky crosses the world occupy the strange space of the Switch 2 upgrade. It is relatively modest in the upgrades of the original game, providing a small amount of performance improvements to games that are already running well in the beginning. However, its new content is one of the broadest content, it includes a new mini challenge that takes clues through the original phase and ultimately with the more difficult challenges of the main game. It won't revitalize the experience the same way as Zelda: Breathing Out of the Wild and the Upgraded Kingdom Breathing. Instead, it adds something that makes the original version so good.
When you initiate an existing save in a world of interstellar crossing, you are subjected to a new island centered on an ominous dark heart (fallen stellar volcano). Helpless star creatures have been scattered around the world, and at the same time, star crystals have fallen, changing stages and enemies, so he is his useful demigod, and Kirby volunteers volunteered to rescue Starries.
Functionally, this means a reexamination of the original forgotten land, and these stages have obtained new crystalline variants. These alternative phases coexist along the original phase, so they can be selected individually. Usually each world has two crystal stages, and this new sport is about one-third of the original sport. Although the phase parts will be identifiable, they will mostly feel very different. You can access new parts of the phase by activating the crystal contact point, thus allowing the new crystallization path to follow.
The crystal effect gives the stage a cute shiny feel and looks a little better than the original switch game. Although not a big improvement, this is a great enhancement that helps the Switch 2 upgrade feels worth it. One drawback is that this crystal effect is common to all stages, which is the result of making the stages visually similar. Of course, when you follow the crystal path along the neon casino instead of the rugged volcano, there are still differences, but the crystals mean they look more similar than the original game.
The stages of the stellar crossing offer a similar challenge to a large extent, with some of the more difficult enemies seemingly preparing you for the ability to upgrade from the original game. Like the original, the outstanding one is the segment of the “mouth”, like a huge gear, you can climb over the wall or turn to the sandwich board on its side, allowing you to slide on the hillside ski-style. These are the most creative and challenging segments of the two games, scattered in places that make them feel special. However, the new oral form does highlight Kirby’s lack of any new replica abilities.
New stages are scattered with stars – you let them complete the stage, but you also find the scattered hidden stages and get the stars that complete the hidden target. For experienced players, I found it thoroughly to search the stage and trying to make them try all or as much as possible – it was fun in my first attempt. Nintendo has regained its old habits through gated advancements behind your current number of stars, but there are many reasons to find all the little creatures in the replay stage. And if you're really struggling, you can access waddle-dee in your motherland for tips to find anything missing. Another Waddle-Dee restores Gacha mechanic with the trophy of the new environment and crystal enemies, which gives you something to spend new Star coins.

As you travel through the world of star crossing, the dark heart at the center of the Fallen Star volcano is gradually shrouded in crystals. Once you have completed the regular star phase, a new challenge is launched, and it may be even harder than anything in the main forgotten land movement. It was a surprisingly sudden difficulty, although it felt like a nice end point for the entire forgotten land experience.
Kirby and Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World have a game that is already great and offers you more. Upgrades are not as important as the Zelda Switch 2 Edition games, as these games help the ambitious game run more smoothly and realize its original potential. But, essentially, it adds new story content and the stage to be explored, and it is more important than either. Kirby and Forgotten Lands are already a platform buffet, which is a great reason to recover for a few seconds.
