Bandai Namco will eventually be with Katamari When it releases on October 24, 2025, via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
News about the first fresh Catamali game in 14 years arrives today in July 2025 Nintendo direct companion display. It comes with a comprehensive game trailer that reveals the return of all the Kings of the Universe below, and there are plenty of classic Katamari that fans of Rolling Ball have loved this series. You can see it all in the Katamari game trailer below – and enjoy some new music.
As if there is always any concern, players can expect the former Katamari to roll up the universe again when it launches this fall. It will be more than just a carbon copy of the game it comes with, though, and Bandai Namco announced a new feature of the size.
Included in a lineup of custom options for Prince and 68 available cousins, as well as multiplayer support for up to four players. This is a brand new soundtrack backing as players scroll through the entire history and rebuild the sky.
“Travel through the Jurassic Period, Ice Age, historic Japan, and other eras to roll up objects with your trusty katamari and rebuild the starry sky. With all-new stages, a new soundtrack, character customization, a new four-player multiplayer mode that lets players compete online or battle CPU history offline and more, the quirky Katamari Damacy series returns when Once Upon A Katamari launches on Nintendo Switch October 24.”
Bookings are made via Nintendo Eshop later today. Those who save Katamari Damacy Reroll or we like Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie's data will also be able to unlock special playable young kings on launch. The appropriate Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been announced yet.
