A language teacher at a Japanese middle school introduces a novel (albeit scary) new way to teach students English: through play PTalso known as the Silent Hill trailer.
PT is Hideo Kojima's unique horror take on the horror genre, presented through a home filled with unexpected encounters and bizarre mysteries. Finally, PT revealed itself to be a “playable trailer” for the secret project Silent Hill, which never came to fruition. For many (myself included), it's considered one of the scariest video game experiences ever.
as detailed School Blog and reported to AutomataStudents are asked to conduct the experience in English and give commands to each player in English, such as “move around the room” and “answer the phone.” According to the blog update, it creates an exciting atmosphere where U.S. sophomore students can become familiar with the English language while playing one of the scariest games of all time.
Apparently, students were particularly shocked when the phone rang, but were encouraged to discuss it through “natural English expressions.”
Konami officially canceled Silent Hill in 2015 After a painful public conflict with Hideo Kojima. Subsequently, the free trial version was removed from PlayStation Network, sparking rumors that the company is removing downloaded demos from PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide. Apparently the teacher had the foresight to keep the copy they had preserved for over a decade.
With the release of “Death Stranding 2”, Hideo Kojima is working on a series of new projectsincluding horror games Xbox Game Studio OD. he The first trailer was released last monthtriggering speculation It's connected to PT somehow. Of course, there are striking similarities between the two. The mystery game will star Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' Sofia Lillis, Hunter's Udo Kier, and Euphoria's Hunter Schafer, and the trailer shows Lillith's character in a spooky house, lighting candles before encountering a malevolent figure.
Kojima explained that the game's subtitle is OD: Knock – and in fact, creepy knocks can be heard throughout the trailer. The subtitle seems to differentiate Hideo Kojima's video game from the OD project being produced by filmmaker Jordan Peele. “Jordan (Peele) would have another kind of fear. Mine was 'Knock Knock,' which was fear,” Kojima said. “I'm really afraid of loud knocking noises.”
