Japanese students learn English by playing PT

Few unmade video games are more famous silent Hill and its beloved playable trailer. Although PT is now hard to find since Konami took it offline, a teacher in Japan is using it as a tool to teach students how to speak English.
Niigata Prefecture Tsunan Junior High School shared a blog entry (pass IGN) demonstrates how assistant language teachers can use PT as a learning tool in the classroom. Students are invited to play a PT game in English, and other members of the class will weigh in on what the players should do next by using English phrases.
The blog notes that the PT's alarmingly loud ringing phone frightened the fifth-graders, who were roughly the same age as the high school sophomores. But it's one of the most novel ways to learn another language. Considering the only easy way to play the game is with a PlayStation 4 console that was downloaded before PT was taken down, it's pretty impressive that they have this game.
