In a thrilling opposition to vampires: Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 locks the clan behind DLC, Paradox says it is “adjusting before launching”

Paradox determines the rebound of locking two clans after DLC Vampire: Masquerade – Bloodline 2 It seems to prompt reconsideration.
Anger begins with confirming that Bloodline 2 will have four clans: Brujah; tremere; Banu Haqim; and ventrue. While this choice offers you four different starting options for how to build a protagonist, it is a more limited product than a classic original lineage of cults with seven clans.
Developer China Room has added two more clans to Descent 2 (Lasombra and Toreador), but is currently only available as part of the Shadow and Silk add-on, which is packaged for DLC $21.99, or as part of the premium version of $89.99. The standard version costs $59.99.
The DLC is available from day one, which leaves the impression that the “full” roster has been carved and only those who pay extra get the full boot experience. As you might expect, fans quickly expressed their dissatisfaction.
Then, at Gamescom 2025, a representative of publisher Paradox told IGN The decision is an “business” informed choicearoused further outcry. But posts about discord suggest that significant changes are likely to occur.
When found ResetParadox community developer Debbieella spoke to the game's community through the following information:
“We are listening to your feedback on the visits to the Lasombra and Toreador clans, and we have adjusted to reflect this before the release.
“We will share more information about what this means.”
This means it is not clear at this point, but hope is of course the paradox thrown in both clans to no additional cost. Of course, this will calm the fan base before the October 21st game releases. But what does that mean for those who already pay for the more expensive premium version?
Vampire: Masquerade – Bloodline 2 suffered hard developments and many high-profile delays, but this is a key release for the paradox. Publishers will be eager for the best chance of success, and backtracking on their DLC plans may be the only viable option at this stage.
