Nintendo shares Hyrule Warriors' first trailer: imprisonment age April 2025 Nintendo Direct broadcast.
The trailer begins with Princess Zelda telling the history of Zonai and Hylians, who led to an era of prosperity and peace until the “terrible evil appears.” The subsequent battle is known as the Incarceration War, and this conflict is the background of the game.
The trailer then shifts the focus to several battle scenes, showing Zelda and Rauru, the king of Hruel, each fighting Bokoblins, Mulin and other other minions from Manton.

Known as “The Story to the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, Kingdom: The Age of Incarceration is a massive action game that takes place during the War of Incarceration, an ancient war between Hruhr and Canon long before the events of the Kingdom's Tears.

Like other Warriors, imprisoned age players fight waves of enemies, with hundreds of opponents appearing on the battlefield in each mission. Very similar Age of disasterthe enemy and the environment are inspired and directly attracted by the tears of the Kingdom.
Like other Warrior games, the imprisoned age has multiple playable characters, each with a unique weapon and play style. We don't know how wide the lineup will be in the game, but both Rauru and Zelda can be played. The announcement trailer also glimpses Rauru's sister Mineru, a Zonai researcher who wields different Zonai devices during the battle.
Who is developing Hyrule Warriors: imprisonment age?
Just like the first two Hyrule Warriors games, the imprisonment age is a joint venture between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo, and Development is primarily led by the latter’s AAA Games Studio. The recently formed subsidiary was founded in 2024 and is led by former Ninja Captain Yosuke Hayashi, who has worked in all previous Nintendo/Warriors collaborations.
